Embark on an unforgettable journey through time with our Taroudant & Tiout Guided Day Trip. Your adventure begins with a prompt 8:30 AM pick-up from your hotel or residence. As we hit the road, keep your cameras ready! Before arriving in the city, we will make a special stop to witness and photograph the famous "flying goats"—Morocco's unique tree-climbing goats balancing on the branches of the Argan trees.
Our first major destination is the magnificent city of Taroudant, affectionately known as "Mini Marrakech." Historically chosen as the capital by the Saadi dynasty before they moved to Marrakech, Taroudant has retained its authentic, old-world charm. Today, the city is almost entirely enclosed within its massive, beautifully preserved rampart walls. We will explore the vibrant Old Medina, wandering through alleys famous for intricate local crafts, stunning carpets, and traditional Moroccan jewelry.
After soaking in the history of Taroudant, we will continue our scenic drive 30 kilometers down the road to Tiout, a remarkably friendly and welcoming Berber village. Here, you will be treated to a delicious, authentic Moroccan lunch to recharge your energy.
Following lunch, we will explore the breathtaking Tiout Oasis, a lush, green paradise home to over 3,000 palm trees. You can stroll through the greenery or even opt for a fun, traditional donkey ride along the oasis trails! To top off the day, we will visit the ancient Tiout Kasbah perched on the hill—famous as the legendary filming location for the classic 1950s French movie, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.
After a full day packed with history, nature, and culture, we will head back to Agadir, with a scheduled drop-off at your hotel around 5:00 PM.
